Why Train
Forklift Training in Manchester

Why Train?
Employers have the responsibility, duty and the legal obligation regarding forklift truck safety in the workplace. The main legislation applying to the use of forklift trucks is: the provision and use of work equipment regulations and the lifting operations and lifting equipment regulations.
PUWER and LOLER were both introduced in Dec 1998, ten years on and a lot of companies are still unaware of these regulations which could prove to be very costly. Companies who fail to comply and who are subsequently prosecuted could face unlimited fines and directors can be sentenced to prison.
Accidents in the Workplace:
Poor or inadequate training and failing to operate safe systems of work contribute to most accidents in the workplace, it has been well documented that employees who are competently trained will save money with improved efficiency and by causing less accidental damage.
